Fading Grounds
Fading Grounds is a moving-image project shaped by my personal relationship with London, a city I have lived in for five years. It reflects the tension between moments of quiet belonging and a constant sense of distance within everyday urban life. Using 3D modelling and virtual photography, I construct a black-and-white, imagined London defined by darkness, light, and shadow. Within these spaces appear anonymous silhouettes—figures that represent both myself and others searching for connection in the modern city. The work approaches London not as a system or map, but as an emotional landscape formed through memory, movement, and lived experience.
